Sustainability of the region as a set of socio-economic relationships

The article examines theoretical approaches to defining the category of regional sustainability, and also reveals the lack of a clear and unambiguous interpretation of its content. The author presents her own formulation of sustainability as the constancy of the system's existence over time, regardless of changes in the external environment. Various levels of management and their impact on the economic sustainability of the region are considered. Attention is also paid to the interaction of the economic and social spheres of the region as a socio-economic system. As a result of the study, key aspects determining the sustainability of the region are identified, and recommendations for further research in this area are proposed.
