Elimination of heating of the metal structure in the working area of the melting furnace

In this publication, the issues of computer modeling of electromagnetic and thermal processes associated with the flow of induced currents in metal elements of technological design are considered. The line between the power supply and the melting induction unit is made in the form of two copper conductors enclosed in a hose with running water for cooling. In some sections, the track passes too close to massive steel elements, which leads to their heating by eddy currents. Modeling of different variants of the line showed the most acceptable way to solve the problem by shielding steel elements with aluminum sheets.
