Device for monitoring the seam of welded parts with a magnetic field sensor

The feasibility of determining electrode deviations from the welding seam by magnetic field voltage of the welding current flowing through the welded area are explored. We achieve a higher precision in guiding the welding electrode along the seam due to elimination of inaccuracies associated with upfront positioning of the sensor in relation to the electrode.
