The important role in enhancing the competitiveness and growth of enterprises have human capital. Employees with their knowledge, skills and commitment, contribute to increase productivity and lead to gaining competitive advantage. Performance adaptation to changes in the environment in which people, businesses and economies work, is reflected in how the human factor is valued as an important economic resource. The methodology of this study is based on human capital and its overall impact, through investment in people and skills needed as the only way to preserve and enhance competitive advantage. The main objective of this paper is to examine the role of a man in a business organization, with regard to organizations in municipality of Leposavic. The results of research on the importance of human capital in relation to material resources, as well as its impact on the competitiveness of the organization. Accordingly, the structure of the work consists of two parts: 1. The impact of human capital on the competitiveness of the organization with regard to conditions in the municipality of Leposavic and 2. Main recommendations for the development of competitiveness by investing in the human capital of the Republic of Serbia.
