No longer socionics but not yet differential psychology

In this paper the author gives the review on Russian translation of the book «Gifts Differing: Understanding Personality Type» by I. Myers-Briggs, P. Myers. The review describes strengths and weaknesses of this book from the perspective of differential psychology as science. The author warns readers from attractive simplicity of personality types classification based on only four binary factors, resulting into 16 combinations. Experimental data of independent researches show that pure «types» accurately fitting with these combinations turn out to be less in numbers than combined types.
