The article examines the features of the search for a direction to organized life in the most difficult socioeconomic situations in the work of a talented Arab writer, a descendant of Circassian emigrants Sami Otar-Hamza. The author establishes regularities of interaction of literary traditions, including Arabic and Adyghe (Circassian). In work from another perspective, an attempt is made to analyze prose works, revealing the creative individuality of S. Otar-Hamza. He addresses such problems as the ethnocultural identification of the author, whose language of creation became Arabic, the place of literature of the Diaspora in history and the contemporary state of Adyghe (Adyghian, Kabardian, Circassian) literatures. The article draws a conclusion about the variety of the writer's creative approaches to the problems of historicism and psychology, the role of a bright creative personality in the evolution of artistic consciousness, the place of the researched short stories in the contemporary state of Adyghe (Circassian) artistic literature. It is noted that the literature of the Circassians of the Diaspora and the Circassians of the historical homeland profess the same values, feed on the same horses. Our research exposes that Sami Otar's works are part of a single Adyghe (Circassian) literature, and the work of foreign authors is one of the branches of the same culture. The results of the analysis of S. Otar's works can be used in the development of particular issues of national literary criticism, they will greatly facilitate the search path for modern researchers.
