On literary legacy of V.Y. Propp (back to children's dreamland “shvambraniya” as folklore phenomenon)

The article is concerned with one of the phenomena of children’s subculture - dreamland game. With the help of diverse materials the mentioned subculture has been repeatedly studied by the author as a phenomenon of children’s folklore. The purpose of the study is to emphasize how the prototypes of myth thinking (land as an island, “island kingdom”), identified by V.Y. Propp, are recreated in children’s utopia. Consistency of the dreamland game with the fundamental principles of the genre, which were formulated by the great scholar, is also accentuated.
