The article examines the prospect of the further process of currency globalization of the international economy. The problem of the study is the effectiveness of monetary globalization and the factors that cause the emergence of individual problems. The object of the study is the international currency market and its trends. The purpose of the scientific article is to analyze current problems and forecast future scenarios for the development of the foreign exchange market in the context of globalization or vice versa, de-globalization. The result of the study is the identification of the main problems in the conditions of the modern world economy and their possible impact on the prospects for the development of the foreign exchange market.
