"Walpurgis-night" as an element of Saransk cultural life

Fragments of the ballet «Walpurgis-night» from the opera «Faust» as concepts of Saransk cultural life as well as items and principles of staging work are considered in the article. Construction of dance texture, application of characteristic movements of dramatic composition of «old» choreography as well as modern tendencies are analysed.
