The sediments of lithological layer 12 in middle part of multilayer site Kulbulak were investigated in 2014-2016 for uncovering and interpretation of time/spatial variability of transitional (from Middle to Upper Paleolithic) lithic industries (Uzbekistan part of Pamir-Tian Shan). Granulometric characteristic of sublayer 12.3 shows the eolian-proluvial genesis of it. Material complex of sublayer 12.3 has been redeposited. Lack of volumetric and edge-faceted cores, inconspicuous percent of blades and bladelets, presence in the same complex such tools as unifacial pieces, end-scrapers, chisel-like tools, truncated-faceted pieces and backed tools, absence of bladelet tools are unique for transitional complexes of Kulbulak.
