Variability of patriotism discourses in everyday consciousness of Russians

In the article different interpretations of the concept of patriotism in public consciousness of the modern Russians is analyzed, and its popularity among them is estimated. Data analysis revealed two types of alternative interpretations of patriotism - a constructive, civil type and a conservative, protective one (or blind type in terms of R. Schatz and his colleagues). The article traced the connection of a particular type of interpretation of the patriotism with a certain set of ethno-political orientations.
