Important problems of modernity and war crimes of 1941-1945

This article conducts a study of international and national legal norms that evaluate war crimes against the civilian population of 1941-1945. In this regard, the study considers the basic legal aspects of the actualization of international and national responsibility of persons for war crimes in connection with attempts by some foreign states and their leaders of the rehabilitation of Nazism, in order to weaken the sovereignty of the Russian Federation. An analysis of existing legal norms, legal science and practice showed the vector of development of the studied region, which made it possible to create an idea of the state of criminalization of war crimes in international criminal law and came to the conclusion about the need to international unification of norms in the study sphere, taking into account the tendency of rehabilitation of Nazism.
