The article is devoted to the strategies of political communication in social media of the leading political parties in Germany. We investigate the reasons for the low degree of interactivity of the official pages of German politicians in social networks. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of the Pirate party, which can be considered as path breaking in the issues of online-communication in Germany.
