The article presents the results of a study of the autonomic nervous system in newborns who underwent intrauterine hypoxia. The study was carried out in the early neonatal and late neonatal periods; the assessment of autonomic homeostasis was assessed by cardiointervalography. As a result of a study conducted in 199 newborns with intrauterine hypoxia, a violation of the regulation of vascular tone was defined, which clinically manifested itself in the form of cerebral pathology. The CIG results showed a hypersympathicotonic autonomic status, which was more significant in the group of newborns with an increased blood pressure level and in a group with a reduced blood pressure level and remained high over time. The obtained data indicates the tension of regulatory mechanisms, in particular the sympathoadrenal system, which indirectly indicates a breakdown in normal adaptation.
