This article deals with the views of the authors of "Vekhi" ("Landmarks") on the problem of Russia's civi-lizational choice between the East and the West. It analyzes the main ideas, as well as the similarities and differences in the concepts of S. Bulgakov, N. Berdyaev, P. Struve, P. Novgorodtsev, S. Frank. The author emphasizes the complexity and ambiguity of philosophers' ideas that cannot be interpreted as a mere development of Slavophiles' concepts. The writers of "Vekhi" believed that the most important steps of correct civilizational choice was the rejection of copying the Western ideals and the development of the unique Russian conceptual framework based on the Orthodox religion, particular attention to the inner world and the desire to resolve moral conflicts.
