Great humanist, philosopher, poet, citizen (710 anniversary of Francesco Petrarca)

This year we celebrate the 710th anniversary Francesco Petrarca, the first humanist who is known for his great contribution to the classical Latin language restauration in Italy. Pertarca and his adherents compared the classical Latin not to vulgare language but to scholastic Latin, the dead language of the Renaissance. Spiritual independence of Petrarca became one of the reasons for appearance of new human, natural, state and philosophical evaluation. Latin works of Pertrarca were the foundation of new Italian science and literature.
