The Great Silk Road as a research concept: basic approaches and methods of study

The article reveals the main approaches and methods of studying the phenomenon of the “Great Silk Road” as a research concept and actual experience of peaceful cultural communication between different countries and peoples. The formation of methodological tools for the study of this phenomenon is described. It is based on an information-theoretic approach, with the help of which a general description of the concept under study is given, its research tools are compiled, tested on specific material, and the final content is determined in the discourse of culturological knowledge. Based on the specificity of the Great Silk Road concept as a cultural phenomenon, the author explains the need to recreate and reconstruct it in order to understand and interpret it as a cultural tradition with a long history, which has not been yet sufficiently studied in cultural studies. The author concludes that the formed methodology has made it possible to collect research tools, with the help of which the collected publications are systematized, analyzed and summarized, considering it at different stages of development from various views
