The essence of venture financing of business is considered, its necessity for the development of the country's economy is justified, and the mechanism of venture investments is characterized. The analysis of the current state of the venture capital market in Russia is carried out. The authors characterize the volume of venture investments, identify the leading organizations and list the largest transactions in the field of venture financing. The problems that complicate the process of venture entrepreneurship are identified. The ways of improving the organization of venture financing in Russia are proposed.
