This article examines the arguments put forward during student debates for and against the existence of verbal communication. In the age of digital technology and social media, the question of the importance of oral speech becomes especially relevant. The study covers a wide range of points of view, including philosophical, psychological and cultural aspects. Supporters of verbal communication emphasize its unique ability to transmit not only information but also emotions, creating a deeper connection between people. On the other hand, opponents express the opinion that verbal communication can be a source of misunderstanding, inefficiency and even manipulation. Based on the analysis of the debate results, the article offers a balanced view of the complex nature of communication, emphasizing the need for further research to better understand the role of verbal communication in modern society.
