Religion and quantitative tribal structure of Tungus population of Urulginsk steppe duma of the XIXth century

The article presents a review of a number of archival sources connected with the issues of religion and life-style of Tungus population of Nerchinsk Uezd of the XIXth century. The primary results of the investigated ar-chival sources of State Archive of Zabaikalsky Krai (SAZK) with the aim of observation of quantitative tribal structure of Tungus population of Urulginsk Steppe Du-ma have been introduced. The analysis of the following archival documents, i.e. mainly enumeration list invento-ries («census»), tax papers, reports connected with the process of Russification of Tungus population of Nerchinsky Uezd gives the opportunity to confirm the ambiguity of the ethnic language structure of Tungus, on the one hand. On the other hand, the analysis allows to reveal and to depict the quantity structure of Tungus tribal names (genonymums).
