The vertical and horizontal islamization of Western Europe in the context of migration crisis

The article analyzes the process of Islamization in Western Europe in the context of the migration crisis caused by wars and armed conflicts in the Middle East. The main problems of the Muslim immigrant's integration are examined. The author distinguishes vertical and horizontal types of Islamization that reinforce the position of Muslims in various areas of state policy and public life. The author concludes that existing models of multiculturalism in Western Europe contribute to consolidation of Muslim immigrants. It appears in ghettoization and development of parallel power structures and radicalization by spreading Islamist ideas.
