The religion believers of Bashkortostan: their ethnic structure, identity and the attitude to the intercjnfessional relations

The article presents the results of field research conducted in order to describe the ethno-demographic and socio-cultural portrait of believers of the Republic of Bashkortostan (regular members of Muslim and Orthodox religious organizations). In the context of state-confessional relations, the author analyzes such aspects as ethnic composition, ranking of identities, and the attitude of members of Orthodox and Muslim religious organizations in Bashkortostan to traditional confessions and new religious movements.
