The article presents the history of the collection of religious-philosophical prose by V. A. Zhukovsky. The conceptual structure of the collection is studied in a context of a circle of Zhukovsky's religious reading. The influence of the Orthodox Patristic, Lutheran, Quietist, and Platonist traditions is studied.
