Branching ability as a factor of soybean yield stability in crop production

Бесплатный доступ

Yield losses caused by uneven plant distribution in soybean crops were studied. Under the conditions of average popula-tion density close to target, yield losses for single-stem and bushy cultivars were estimated as 23 and 2%, respectively. Thus, branching ability is sufficient even in dense enough crops. Obtained data allows postulating that developing soybean cultivars with limited branching is unreasonable.
