Vision, methods, objectives and strategic measures of environmental policy of ECOWAS

This article is concerned with the vision, methods, objectives and strategic environmental policy of ECOWAS, the Economic Community of West African States. The ECOWAS policy is focused on the urgent restoration of the environment and the countermeasures to the landscape degradation. The methods are directly connected with the global strategic plan on improvement of the environmental situation developed by ECOWAS. All these measures are aimed at the reinforcement of the ECOWAS environmental department, collaboration with other authorities in order to ensure the regional integration.
