Videoblogging and modern teenagers: the dangers of the Internet

The article presents the views of modern teenagers on a popular form of posting information online, i.e. videoblogging. For today's children, the blogosphere is becoming a virtual community where the identity of the child is formed in accordance with the real life laws, so the society cannot ignore its impact and the various risks. The authors subdivided the Internet security into physical, mental and information. To collect empirical data, the method of the semi-structured interview was applied. An interview guide included questions concerning behavior and the main ways of social interaction of adolescents in the process of consumption, creation, and promotion of video blogs. Besides, there were questions that made it possible to assess the respondents' perception of various types of security on the Internet. 10-16-year-old teenagers participated in the survey (N = 10). During the interview, the respondents expressed their opinion about the essential threats of mental, physical, and information nature.
