Types of quotations within the theory of intertextuality: semantic aspect

The article argues that not all kinds of quotations can be viewed as manifestations of intertextuality. In fiction some quotations refer to broader encyclopedic knowledge rather than to the knowledge about another text. This makes these quotations different from their counterparts.
