Types of public procurement: advantages and disadvantages for the participant (supplier)

Currently, public procurement is one of the important mechanisms of socio-economic growth in the Russian Federation. Public procurement promotes healthy competition among suppliers of inventory, works and services, and budget savings, since the amount of completed public procurement is, as a rule, always less than the calculation of the initial maximum contract price due to lower prices of participating suppliers. The article discusses the principles of public procurement and their types. A comparative analysis of various types of government procurement is given. The advantages and disadvantages of types of public procurement for participating suppliers have been identified.
