Types of exterior decoration of building facades

This article discusses the building materials that are the most often used for cladding facades of buildings now. Exterior decoration performs not only a decorative function, but also in most cases has a purely utilitarian purpose, namely, it protects the supporting structure of the building from adverse external influences, in particular, from: high humidity during precipitation; overheating; exposure to ultraviolet radiation; penetration of mold, fungus and other harmful factors on the bearing walls. There are many methods to achieve architectural expressiveness of the facade of the house. Today, there are both traditional finishing methods and facade finishing methods based on modern technologies and using modern finishing materials.
