The article deals with the types of educational organizations. The concept of organizational and legal form of educational organization is studied. The main purpose of the educational organization is to meet the intangible needs of citizens: education and training. On the basis of the analysis of normative legal acts the main types of educational organizations, their similarity and difference are identified.
