Kinds of criminal procedure functions of a lawyer

The article deals with features of a lawyer in criminal proceedings. The functions of a lawyer are differentiated because the Criminal Procedure code of Russian Federation established dual status of a lawyer: as a protector and as a representative. Activity of defence counsel is aimed to protection of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of the person, accused (or suspect) of committing. The nature of the activities of representative attorney, acting in the interest of injured person, defined by specificity of legal status of his trustee, which is waiting for just punishment for person, committed a crime.
