The 7th International Conference of Young Scholars “Space and Time in Russian Literature and Philosophy”

We provide here the analytical review of the 7th International Conference of Young Scientists “Space and Time in Russian Literature and Philosophy”, held on November 12–13, 2024 at “A.F. Losev House – Research Library and Memorial Museum” in Moscow and dedicated to the 225th anniversary of A.S. Pushkin and the 150th anniversary of N.A. Berdyaev. Along with the “A.F. Losev House”, the conference was organized by the Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the A.F. Losev Center for Russian Language and Culture, Institute of Philology, Moscow Pedagogical State University, as well as the journal “Solovyov Studies”. The event was attended by 68 scholars from different cities of Russia (Kaliningrad, Kursk, Moscow, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Severodvinsk, Tomsk, Tula), China, Korea, Montenegro and the Czech Republic. We review the scientific reports included in the conference program and presented during the plenary session and eight sections. We provide the information about the course of the conference over two days, describe the topics of the presentations, outline the main philosophical and philological problems related to the study of the categories of space and time, as well as their interaction within the framework of stable artistic and cultural chronotopes. The importance of the dialogue between humanities and philosophers is emphasized, which has become one of the impulses for the establishment and holding of the conference since 2018. It is concluded that the relentless interest of young scholars in these problems confirms the relevance of the conference in the scientific community.
