The article examines the phenomenon of identity victimization as a mechanism of informational influence on the individual and society, forming the self-identification of the victim, contributing to the disintegration and decline of the moral climate of society. The author touches upon aspects of the victimization of scientific and socio-political discourse, the implementation of state identity politics based on victimization, the peculiarities of the mechanisms of victimization of public consciousness in Russia and the post-Soviet states by the institutions of soft power of the states of the collective West. The article gives examples of western institutions of influence and Russian organizations of foreign agents supported by them, who implemented projects to victimize Russian public consciousness, desuverenize the socio-humanitarian sphere of the Russian Federation and undermine its value sovereignty.
