Victimological characteristics of crimes against cultural values of peoples

The article examines the encroachment on the cultural values of peoples in peacetime, analyzes crimes committed on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as at the international level, highlights the main victims of criminal encroachments of this category of crimes, reveals the main measures of victimological prevention of criminal encroachments on the cultural values of peoples in peacetime using the example of works of art. It is noted that victimological prevention of crimes in the field of criminal encroachments on cultural values of peoples plays an important role in solving problems that are related not only to the prevention and suppression of crimes, but also to the identification of the main causes and conditions of these crimes. The article highlights the main types of victims who suffered from criminal encroachments on the cultural values of peoples, and expresses the author’s position on the prevention of this type of crime.
