In most cases, the personal, and even more behavioral characteristics of the victim play a signifcant role in the mechanism of criminal behavior in the Commission of theft or theft of a vehicle. A study conducted by the Omsk and Novosibirsk regions, indicates that the frst number victimogenic factors should be called the reluctance of the owners to equip their vehicle anti-theft security alarm. According to statistics, in the total mass of stolen and stolen cars, more than half are Vases of various models and modifcations. The vast majority of owners of these cars neglect installation of the alarm system because of indifference to possibility of its illegal taking. Also not additionally equipped with security alarms prestigious, but fairly second-hand, foreign cars. Car brand “Toyota”, which are in second place in the number of stolen and stolen (after vases), on the contrary, often have an additional security alarm installed by the owners. However, these alarms are easily bypassed by hackers with the help of special technical devices purchased on the black market. Owners rarely use additional anti-theft devices (electronic or mechanical). The situation is exacerbated by the abandonment of vehicles in open unguarded areas in the dark, and careless attitude of drivers to the car keys and key rings.
