The article deals with the problem of victimization of the individual in the modern media space. The data on victimological aspects of interaction in the media space are systematized. The mechanisms and socio-psychological conditions of victimization of the individual in the media space are listed: anonymity, expanding the possibilities of self - representation by changing the boundaries of identity, psychological emancipation, profanity, freedom in choosing statements and actions, in playing roles and scenarios, etc. The psychological conditions that determine increased victimization in Internet interaction in adolescence and adolescence are listed: the consolidation of complex stereotypes of perception of the environment and social behavior; the solution of personal problems through the search and involvement in extreme activities; the distortion of the sense of self-preservation and the implementation of inadequate forms of behavior in social reality, due to the subjective substitution of virtual reality; social isolation and isolation, etc.
