Vilayanur Subramanian Ramachandran is one of the leading specialists in modern neuroscience. The article presents a review of the results of his explorations of synaesthesia, discusses his contribution into the development of the corporeal paradigm in humanities, points out the value of this input for the integrative approach to language phenomena analysis.
