The article is devoted to the issues of virtual and real in modern culture, as well as the merging of these two concepts into one term - “virtual reality”. This concept arose relatively recently, therefore, requires cultural studies. In this regard, we can talk about the fine line that lies between the real and the virtual, and between the present and the fictional, the traditional and the innovative, the truth and the myth.
