Virtual currency: ML/FT risks and measures to reduce them in Russia

The article considers the phenomenon of cryptocurrency as a new payment instrument. The key risks of using cryptocurrencies for money laundering and terrorist financing are analyzed. The regulatory framework regulating the control over the functioning of cryptocurrencies is considered. Measures to reduce the risks of ML/FT from the use of cryptocurrency are proposed.
