Visualization of international relations: problems and opportunities of new research direction

The article presents the evolution of research on the visualization of international relations, as well as a brief review of the literature on this area of research. The revival of interest in visual studies is often associated with the so-called visual turn in the social and humanitarian disciplines, which arose with the advent of new technologies that allow us create, copy, store, replicate and distribute images. The author analyzes the reasons and opportunities for studying the visualization of international relations as one of the areas of research within the framework of constructivism. The visual aspect in politics is a vast area of research that is constantly becoming more complex and expanding due to technological and scientific practices and the expansion of the field of interdisciplinary research. The study of visual images within the framework of constructivism in international relations and the introduction of various approaches from the field of psychology expands our understanding of the mechanisms of perception of international relations.
