Visual inspection in the monitoring system of ground hydrotechnical facilities

The article provides a typical list of works included in the monitoring system of the tailing dump hydrotechnical facilities. The data of most monitoring methods have discrete nature and associated with existing measurement system, the points of which usually are located in dam sites that are hundreds of meters apart of each other. As a result, this monitoring system may not fully and correctly reflect the processes occurring in the facility body. This problem solution may be connected with inclusion of visual inspection in the monitoring system. This conclusion was confirmed by the results of monitoring of the tailing dump hydrotechnical facilities of a Murmansk region mining plant.
