The article deals with the history of the remarkable professional school in the town of Vyatka, which was opened in the year of 1872 as a result of the influence of the reforms of the Emperor Alexander II. The peculiarities of the work of this school are shown; the characteristics of the teachers of the school, as well as the enlightenment activities of its graduates are depicted.
