The article is devoted to the consideration of the ideas of the Alexandrian theological school in the context of the theology of history. It was in the 3rd century that the structure of scientific and theological thought was made with the basis for systematic consideration and understanding of all aspects of the church doctrine. In this historical period the theological themes, born at the end of the preceding time of the apologists, receive their further development and comprehension. The most important themes of the theological thought of this time are “God”, “man” and “history”; they, in their totality and mutual relation, determine the basic image of the ecclesiastic thought of this epoch, and become its reference points. On this “background” the patristic theology of history begins to form actively itself. The Alexandrian school will play a key role in this process
