The contribution of the choreographic art department of ESSIC to the formation and development of the song and dance theater «Baikal»

The article considers the role of the department of choreographic art of East Siberian state institute of culture (ESSIC) in training artists of the ballet troupe of the Song and Dance Theater «Baikal». The established pedagogical school of dance, founded by the first teachers of the department, the creative potential and extensive experience in teaching choreographic disciplines allow graduates to acquire a fairly high level of performance skills to work as artists of professional folk dance ensembles. Many graduates of the department were awarded honorary titles of the Republic of Buryatia and Russia.
