The contribution of professor Valery Pavlovich Reutov to the development of the teaching about the structure of law and modern science

The axial idea is discussed, uniting the scientific work of Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of PSU - PSNRU V. P. Reutov in the late period of his work, namely, the determining role of the proper legal functions of law (regulatory-static, regulatory-dynamic, protective, integrative-social) for the structure of the organic system of legal norms, which has objective, universal parameters for all legal systems. The presence of constitutive (substantive and procedural) law, public and private legal principles is present in the structure of any legal system, while the sectoral principle, as well as the distribution of norms among institutions, is conventional and subjective. The inconsistency of the dualism of the legal system and the system of laws is shown, the promising heuristic value of the teachings of V. P. Reutov for the development of the russian theory of state and law is noted.
