V. P. Vasilev and his research works about china in the Mongolian period

V. Vasiljev together with N. Bichurin and P. Kafarov were a famous Russian triade who used their visit to China for careful studying of sources of the Mongolian period. In 1857 the scientist for the first time in the West played his attention on «Man-da bau-loo» as a valuable source of the Mongolian history, translated it in Russian and acquainted European scientists with it.
