The contribution of scientists to the development of the higher veterinary education in Yakutia

The article is devoted to the history of higher veterinary education in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), its features, prerequisites of occurrence. In the 1950s, there was an unprecedented rise in Soviet university education. The success of science in the study of natural resources of the Yakut ASSR, in the development of the culture of nations and other achievements raised the prestige of higher, and to a greater degree university education, to the maximum height. The mid 80s of the XX century was marked by the strengthening of the development of higher agricultural education in the country, in particular, in Yakutia, an independent university was opened on the basis of the Faculty of Agriculture of Yakutsk State University - Yakutsk Agricultural Institute. The history of higher veterinary education in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) helps to understand how important the emergence and development of higher veterinary education in distant Yakutia was.
