The purpose of the research was to identify influence primary soil treatments on the content of available moisture in it. Our research was conducted in All-Russian Research Institute of Rapeseed (2015-2018) in the field experiment on leached heavy loamy black soil. In a four-field crop rotation: soybean -winter wheat - spring rape - barley, we studied the following primary soil treatments: moldboard-surface plowing, moldboard-surface plowing with deep tillage, moldboard-surface plowing with shallow tillage and minimal treatment. Within these systems, in various combinations, we used tillage methods as following: plowing with the soil overturning, deep subsurface or non-mold loosening, chiseling, shallow and surface treatments. The weather conditions varied during the seasons according to the years of our research, which affected the accumulation of available moisture in the soil. On average, during the years of the first crop rotation (2015-2018), the studied primary soil treatments had an uneven effect on the accumulation of available moisture in the soil before the period of intensive growth and development of soybean (the first ternate leaf), winter wheat (tillering), spring rapeseed (3-5 true leaves) and barley (tillering)...
