Power in the postmodern paradigm

The article discusses the changes of power concept interpretation in the framework of humanitarian discourse in the context of the transition of the society to the postmodern paradigm. Basing upon the works of French post-structuralists, the author outlines the shift of the power from the social reality to the linguistic one. The author believes the power has lost its institutional foundation and substantiality, and is depersonalized in the context of postmodernity. The communicative principles of the power in the postmodern society are described.
