Influence of ALS-inhibitors on broomrape tubercles in herbicide resistant lines of sunflower

Genetically resistant to herbicides lines of sunflower RHA 426 (imidazolinones) and SURES-B (sulfonylureas) were grown in greenhouse in the soil infected with the seeds of а high virulent population of broomrape from Rostov region. Treatment with Euro-Lightning and Granstar at the six leaves stage showed high effect of herbicides after 10 days estimation on killing of viable broomrape tubercles on 100 and 89%, respectively. These results enable chemical method of a new broomrape race control.
